Using programming platform

Is there any facility available in ubuntu to use a programming platform for C++, like DEV C++ or TURBO C++ as we do in windows. I installed gcc compiler from synaptic manager and run programs using terminal, But cann't i get a direct solution like mentioned ?

It sounds like your looking for an IDE and yes there are many of them available for linux. Anjuta, KDevelop, Geany and tons more. You shouldn't have trouble finding one that fits your needs.

If you want to give Geany a try, type this in a terminal:

sudo apt-get install geany
