Hi,

In some cases you may activate that option in your computer BIOS, but almost any modern computer have a boot menu option when it's turned on, in my case pressing F10 function key when CMOS shows up. Check if you have that option.

Ahh great, it's good to see you got the download already :)
I thought you had managed to boot from a different Cd before? It might be worth skimming through the guide on
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto
and maybe check the md5sum. Sometimes bios' do reset themselves and need changing back again but that should be fairly rare. It might be worth just trying making another cd and try to drop the speed right down for it.

Good luck and regards from
Tom :)

Yep, that's kinda what i thought about it too. I imagine its better on very top-end machines but mine wasn't completely thrilled with it. I really hate blue and re-theming it all is what caused me problems. I was a noob though so i didn't even check out forums on fixing it, my next distro was Ubuntu so i kinda stuck with this rather than struggling with something i wasnt happy with. Most people seem to get on well with it and thoroughly enjoy it :)
