I used to download podcast with no problem but .....

Asked by romyclemente

I was used to copy and paste the URL of the podcast site (NPR.org) to my rhythm podcast application with no problem at all and then download them to my mp3 device.

But today I spent hours to do the same but it's always giving me an error message" Error creating podcast download directory" and couldn't download any podcast from the same website.

Please advise!

What version of Rhythmbox are you using? And is this on 8.04, 8.10, 9.04 or 9.10?

I'm using Rhythmbox on Jaunty Jackelone (9.04) with the latest Rhythmbox and it's downloading NPR podcasts just fine... are you sure you haven't run out of hard drive space? You can check this by opening a Terminal (via Applications->Terminal) and typing the following command:

df -h

Sorry, that should be worded as 'Jaunty Jackelope'

I'm running 9.04.

I righted it myself after some trial and error. I just hit the iTunes button on the podcasts and it did the job of downloading them to my Rhythmbox-Podcast automatically a few seconds later.

Thanks anyway!
