usplash logout crash

Hola,

Mi mother es un asus m3n-78v con un nvidia 8200 onboard.

Despues de instalar ubuntu 9.04 y activar los controladores propietarios de nvidia, el usplash de salida (no se exactmente como se llama) se cuelga y en vez de mostrar el logo de ubuntu con la barra naranja desapareciendo, solo muestra una pantalla negra con colores anaranjados que van cambiando de claro a oscuros hasta que el PC se apaga.

Intenté reinstlar el usplash y hasta cambiarlo por otro, pero no he conseguido arreglar el problema.

Alguna sugerencia?

Ya he intentado eso, pero sin resultados. Me parece que puede ser por la
resolucion de pantalla del usplash al apagarse, quería configurarla al vga
pero no se como hacerlo, alguna ayuda?

Pedro en tu archivo de grub (/boot/grub/menu.lst) debes especificar a que resolución trabajara, o en todo caso instala el paquete "startup manager" y puedes hacerlo de forma grafica :) incluso agregar más usplash

Gracias por la respuesta, pero tampoco funciona...

veo de postear en youtube un video de cual es el error gráfico que genera a
ver que se les ocurre, envio otro post con el link.

Bueh, despues de reinstalar el tema del usplash, y tras dos o tres booteos, se solucionó el problema....
