I’ve faced a similar issue before with the app store GUI on Ubuntu. Sometimes it happens due to incomplete package updates or a stuck cache. Try running sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade in the terminal and then restart the Software Updater. If that doesn’t fix it, clearing the cache in /var/lib/apt/lists/ usually helps https://reload.pk/

This didn't help. It's strange that GNOME Application Platform version 49 installed normally.
