Cannot see any text labels on "Aria Download Manager" window

Hello!

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10. Recently, I successfully(?) installed "aria" - download manager from Synaptic Package Manager. But when I run the software, I cannot see any text labels on its window. It shows window, buttons, but no text. I reinstalled it, but same thing happens.
Would please help me to solve this issue?
I need a good download manager with GUI. Please suggest me.

Okay I found alternative download manager. Actually, it is an Firefox extension "DownThemAll!". It works just the way I wanted.
