wifi missing after 9.10 upgrade on vostro 1320

Having upgraded to 9.10, I am having trouble to get the network (both wifi and cable) to work on Dell Vostro 1320. I am using the same settings as under 9.04 where it worked. Now, even the box for 'enable wireless' under the network icon cannot be selected.

Any help?
