Ubuntu 9.10 shutdown problem

Asked by sunnycht

I recently upgraded to ubuntu 9.10 from my wubi installation of 9.04 in my laptop with Vista being the other OS. I am facing a problem after the up-gradation, that when i shutdown or try to restart the Ubuntu, it goes to a black screen for few seconds and then i get the messg-

Deactivating Swap...
logical error... etc.. etc....

Then i have to force shutdown the laptop, this bug is really annoying, i hope there is ans answer to it by the development team. waiting for the update to fix this bug...

Thank You.

. . . same problem as actionparsnip. (Can NOT get exact error message as requested). I have to reboot to get OUT of Ubuntu 9.10. Right now I'm sending the message and accessing this forum in WINDOWS.

If somebody will tell me how to REMOVE ver 9.10 and get back to the previous version, I'll do that just to get a working version.

Thanks.
