debian package installed but not shown in application

i recently created my own debian package and installed it successfully,now i can run the application through terminal but i cant find this in ubuntu applications.
help!

     Happens a lot when you install from source or debian packages, especially from outside Ubuntu repositories... just right-click the "Applications" menu and use "Edit Menus" to add it in.
