Assigning an icon to an executable

Asked by Mrawhimskell

I would like to know how to assign an icon to a new executable in a menu. I've used alacarte to assign a menu under Office for TexmakerX(not Texmaker which already has an icon) but as the executable has no icon of it's own i don't know how to do this.

When you edit the new executable, you'll see a icon (spring). Just click on it and it will bring up other icons. If you have a certain icon somewhere else click browse and move to that directory and load the folder.

Can you help with this problem?
