No sound after installing latest ubuntu 10.10 release from cd

I have checked out all answers and here are some terminal responses

I have even moved the sound card to another slot on motherboard, and nothing works, please help!

Hi

I have 10.10.

1: Call the Gnome Alsa Mixer. Check all the mutes and the loudness. The second bar, called Master M, is important.

2: Read the following: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SoundTroubleshootingProcedure

Please execute step 1 and step 2, then REBOOT and send us the full terminal output from step 3 and step 4 from this procedure:

Please also specify the exact model and make of your PC (if known).
