11.04. No sound in laptop speakers.
Laptop ASUS M51TR. A sound has worked perfectly in Kubuntu 10.10. But afted update, the sound has dissappeared (10.10).
The problem still stays in 11.04.
Filling in snd-hda-intel model=* values from ALSA docs (asus-mode1..8) does not fixes the problem.
Removing of pulseaudio also does not fix.

sure, all level at max level.
in headphones sound works perfect, but in speakers are not.
i'm not a newbee, but really tired with finding a solution...
also, i tried to use 2.6.39 kernel, but got the same problem.
as i said, the problem appeared after one of updates in 10.10 and stays unfixed in 11.04.

Well you are using a 3rd party kernel which may not have the driver compiled for your sound hardware, can you boot to the official kernel and rerun the alsa info script, thanks

only with asus-mode2 and mode5 the speakers sounds. but in this case only in speaker. not in headphones.
al other options turns on sound in headphones but not in speakers.
