I'm sorry , but I find this site very difficult to follow. I have
attempted to do as you say to close the unanswered problem by
highlighting and clicking on the line as instructed . It takes me to a
page on Launchpad which it says can't be found. I have tried working my
entire way through all the list of steps from 1 to 16 on the
troubleshooting page about sound problems, several times . I have made
some alterations to my system according to these instructions, although
I have not been into my BIOS. Nothing has solved the problem. Perhaps I
have to live with the problem. Thank you for your attempts to help.

I don't understand. I have once again been asked to accept that my sound
problem is solved and close a duplicate question. The problem is NOT
solved , and I don't know where the duplication is.As I previously
stated I have worked my way carefully through all 16 stages of
troubleshooting on this subject. I have made alterations in the Terminal
in accordance with issues that appeared . NOTHING has solved my sound
problem.

You have two questions for the same thing. Keep replies and details about the same issue on the same question. This question doesn't affect the other in any way so just reply in that one, please

Can you help with this problem?
