HI all
I can seems that I cannot update linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic
It downloads and tries to install but I get this message

E: linux-image-generic: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured

Yes, your kernel is not updated.
You can try to go Synaptic, uninstall package "*linux-image-2.6.32-24-generic*" and install it again.
Do you have software which modifies kernel, like virtual machine ?
