yes but that turned everything off last time and i dont want to do that again, plus i want to use the same animations values as 12.10 but in 12.04. i am currently running 12.04,

So do you want the settings defaulting, is that your desire?

no, i want to set the animation duration to be set at the same value as the default values for 12.10

CCSM can make profiles -> settings: create a .profile of 12.10 and import it with CCSM in 12.04.
