how do i enable gears (or anything) inside the desktop cube

How do I enable the desktop cube effects? Different desktops on each face of the cube and the "gears" or whatever inside the cube etc

you should install this :

Advanced Desktop Effects Settings (ccsm)

from the "add/remove software" ( or software center in ubuntu 9.10 )

I have this installed but am not sure how to enable the gears inside the cube etc
