What printers are compatible with Linux/Ubuntu 9.10?

I need to purchase a printer for my Ubuntu/Linux based computer. What printers are compatible with Linux/Ubuntu 9.10? I've had previous experiences with printers not being compatible so one that plugs in right away and works properly without me having to pay someone to install it would be great. Thanks!

Before to buy a printer read the printer database here:

As my opinion hp generally works good and they have good Linux support.

Usually HP works very well.
