installing firefox

I'm new to kubuntu and can't seem to install any programs. Trying to install firefox at the minute have downloaded it and it's sat in my home folder but unable to install it.

In (K)Ubuntu is software installed from repositories using special programs (in Kubuntu Adept).

Thanks for your reply, When I use Add/Remove programs It wont allow me to select Firefox?

Well. Try to install it via Konsole (it's program, find it somewhere in KMenu...). Use command "sudo apt-get install mozilla-firefox" (without quotation marks) and send error output (if any).
