how do i add multiple contacts to a group?

i can't find a way to select multiple contacts, then add them to a group.
i can only right-click one contact, then hit "edit" and associate the respective groups i want the person to be in..

At the moment this is the only way to do that. you cannot add multiple
contacts to a group at once ;(

perhaps i can do something in some configuration file or so..!?
still, i realize that it will not work for facebook contacts.
do you have a workaround for collapsing contacts that do not belong to any group?
