i can't block empathy messages for yahoo users

hello,
i'm having difficulty blocking a contact.
from the ui of the 'edit blocked contacts' screen there is a drop-down list of accounts - but only to top one is sensitive - the others are greyed out (and i need to block someone from yahoo - gray)
so i entered the contact anyway w/ @yahoo.com - but that doesn't help to block the problem contact.
So, maybe i didn't enter the contact in a way that matches what empathy is looking for? or maybe there's something else i could do?
any advice?

Same here. Ubuntu Natty with Empathy.
I am getting an unknown contact wanting to add me each and every time I logon to Empathy, and he just doesn't seem to realise I don't want him on my list.

Could this bug be fixed, or a workaround explained?

Actually, thats just the same request, it's not that they keep asking, empathy doesn't fully deny the request, as a workaround I have found (for yahoo) login to web.im (http://webmessenger.yahoo.com/) and deny/block that user through that interface and you should have no more request when you login via empathy.

@michael: I blocked/removed him via the yahoo webmessenger, and lo and behold... Yesterday he came online after multiple messages from me, ranging to nice to very rude to stop bothering me. Those messages were sent before I blocked and deleted him anyway.
Some Romanian dude DESPERATELY wants to befriend me, I don't feel like doing that. So the whole shabang begins anew.
