Hi, thanks for your question.

Currently, Evnice cannot handle Acrobat 7 password protected PDFs. This is a known bug with the poppler library that is used by Evince:
https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4557
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/poppler/+bug/3038

You can use another PDF viewer such as the Adobe Acrobat Reader or xpdf.

For installing Adobe Acrobat Reader, you've two options. You can download the tar.gz file from the official website:
http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html

Alternatively, you can add Medibuntu repository and use sudo apt-get install acroread. Please see this HowTo for details:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/AcrobatHowTo
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Medibuntu

For installing xpdf, use this command:
sudo apt-get install xpdf

Can you help with this problem?
