Error fetching mail - Connection refused

Have always used Evolution to get mail on msn.com. Worked great for several months. After upgrading to 7.10 yesterday, I get the above message, plus unable to connect to 127.0.0.1. Any ideas?

can you tell if you can get connected to the Internet?

would be nice if you could paste the output of dmesg.

My email was setup correctly but the inetd file need work.
