Evolution can not read a message then gives a number. What is the number for?

Asked by Cliffm

Evolution has ceased to connect AOL IMAP

It does give a warning that can not read attachment or message number.
What is this number and how does one use it?

My Evolution is ver. 2.32.2
The system is Ubuntu Natty Narwal

thanks in advance

Hi Paul

The message was 'Alert form account <email address hidden>@aol.com can't read attachment for message 2023'
I went back to AOL mail and tried to locate a corrupted file but could not locate.

I have just opened Evolution and everything seems to be working.

Ok...it sounds like it was a problem of the attachment at the AOL end of the line....if I read correctly, and the problem is solved you can set it as 'solved'.

Thanks
Paul

Paul
I thought so until I tried to read this email in Evolution. It was blank but indicated there was an email. There is a question mark for the date.
This time it was sent to the spam folder. The previous one's were in the inbox.
I am answering this from Thunderbird. It had no problem seeing the email.

Thanks
Cliff

Changed settings for Evolution email to IMAP+, ssl and tsl added the proper port numbers andIt took awhile for Evolution to reload the 'INBOX'

This seems to have solved the problem.
Thanks Cliff
