creating a new and separate identity

Asked by DougSchocke

Can not find a tab called accounts nor a way to set up a separate identity in evolution. I manage info services for several accounts and need to keep them separate and be able to switch to and from them-- it is call "switch identity" in OE. One comment reference here talks about going to account to add an identity but no such reference tab appears in my version of evolution.

As the evolution settings are user-specific, I believe what you'll need to do is create a login in Ubuntu for each user so that whichever user is logged in has their evolution account settings in effect.

In Ubuntu, go to System menu, Administration, Users and Groups.

Once you have another account created, you can click on the name of the current user in the top toolbar of the screen and select another user when you wish to check their evolution mailbox.

Is this what you are looking for?

It sounds like you are looking for the settings under "Edit: Preferences: Mail Accounts" in Evolution.

Can you help with this problem?
