Check for mail when opening

Can I configure Evolution to check and download new mail when I open the program? Currently all I can seem to do is set it to check every minute.

Hello

you can set Evolution to check mail every N no of minutes. It is in edit> preferences > Mail accounts > edit > Receiving Options

Then you can close the program and when the program again starts up it checks for mails
