trouble shooting que needed in help

Asked by Gene Olson

I have used Evolution for almost a year, but had never managed to touch the off line icon.
My girlfriend did and then didn't have any idea what she had done, only that her email didn't work.
I started looking all over the menus and faqs for things wrong, but found a nice book on running but no diagnostic tree that could do triage.

PLEASE add one.

Thanks.

Just curious, is there an icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen that looks like two plugs with a red X between them? If so, have you tried clicking on it to turn it back online?

That was it. I was called to help my partner on her computer. I checked all the account settings, and everything I could think of but the problem was so simple, it almost isn't even mentioned in the documentation.

I think a trouble shooting QA triage tree would be a great addition to the local help file. It would probably catch a lot of silly problems like this one.

Glad it's fixed! I don't use Evolution enough to do the triage,
though...great suggestion.
