How to install Canon MX350 printer drivers in Ubuntu 11.10

Asked by John Bates

I have downloaded a .tar.gz file as a printer driver for my Canon MX350 printer/fax/scanner from Canon. How do I extract and install this? I have just installed Ubuntu 10.10 and am trying to get going. Thanks, John Bates

I suggest following these instructions:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1475336

I recommend putting sudo in front of each command

For example: the line

./install.sh

should be replaced by

sudo ./install.sh

The instructions should also work for Canon MX350 printers.

You will need to edit the install.sh file as described in the instructions.
