No letters on page

Asked by rschmitt

When I set "page style" to "basic page style", no letters, only graphics appear on the screen. I need to operate in "no page style" setting to be able to read web pages.

But that is very inconvenient.

Suggestion: Close any open instances of Firefox and rename the ~/.mozilla directory to something else (like ~/.mozilla-old). Restart the browser and see if it solves the problem. If you have no success, you should close the browser and rename the folder back.

Do you have any idea if you may have done something to make this happen?

Please reopen this query if my suggestion does not solve your problem.

Trygve, thanks for the suggestion, but it did not work. It seems to be a Firefox problem because I opened epiphany and it works--but without my bookmarks and my google tool bar.

Thanks

Richard

Hi,
just a guess, because it made problems for someone else, remove this addon: google tool bar
and check/remove other addons successive if they make problems, write down what you remove to reinstall it again if it didn't make a difference.
If firefox is ok without google tool bar reinstall it again and see what happens.

Can you help with this problem?
