Get the same TOTEM/GSTREAM error panel using any of the included video and audio players on 11.04 except
VLC works on everything.
Banshee just hangs when trying to play a mp3.
Movie player gets Totem could not startup
Rhythmbox music player gets Playback Error
Hope this helps someone to fix this problem.
Many Thanks ......

Still have the same problems with GSTREAMER.
I added additional information after item #12 help person gave up on problem.
Still not working in all video/movie applications except VLC and SMPLAYER.
I tried installing all references to GSTREAMER in package manager with no change in all video/movie players mentioned in item #15 above.

Natty is EOL so you will get zero updates and zero support anywhere.

That's OK. At least it works. Had probelms with 11.10, 12.04, 12.10 so I'm staying with 11.04.
