Firefox crashes on startup

Firefox crashes on startup. Displays first window and immediately displays crash screen to send info to firefox. I am having to resolve this on Windows yuk!
See #159424 for all the stuff I did yesterday to try to resolve another problem in firefox.
I also downloaded a recommended app from firefox - I just don't recall what it is.
HELP!!!!!
