Programs not loading ...
I download programs like gpsk31 and fldigi which are amateur radio programs through the synaptic package manager. I click on the icons under Application but they won't load... Am I doing something wrong??? Other programs I load from the synaptic package manager work perfectly fine... I think I need some help here...

Check on a apps->tools-
$ sudo apt-get instlal fldigi
if it installs or was already installed.
then check
$ dpkg -L fldigi
a list of files that are in the fldigi package.
The one executable and useful for you will be the one that ends in
/usr/bin/<here>
I guess.

something to do with installing program, i.e. close synaptics, close
Ubuntu Software center, etc.
then, it looks like this at my computer:
tobias@merkur:~$ sudo apt-get install fldigi

I am not good at debugging.
Might be a real bug. You should contact the
<email address hidden> with this issue.
Last guess: are you running an 64bit-installation ?
You can check:
$ uname -m
x86_64
mine (32bit) says:
$ uname -m
i686
Can you help with this problem?
