Settings dialogsize fixed
Feature-Request/Bug
I'm using gedit 2.30.3 with XUbuntu 10.4 LTS
Choosing "Edit: Settings" (maybe wrongly back translated from German) a small dialog appears. At the right, lower corner it has a blue region, as if we could manipulate the size there, but it doesn't work. only moving it is possible.
At first glance, this looks justified, because tab 1 (View) has a fixed size.
But tab 4 lists plugins, and in that position the dialog is fixed too. Why?
My preference would be a Dialog, which changes its size automatically, to fit all plugins into, as long as it doesn't exceed the screensize - only then a scrollbar would be needed. When I like to open a file, or choose something else from a list, then I like to see as much as possible, to solve my task and go ahead. I don't profit much if much of the rest of the desktop is visible.
At least I like to resize dialogs on my own, if they can contain more content that way.
Who want's to restrict my freedom?
