Can you give the output of:

sudo lshw -C network; lsb_release -a; lspci; lsusb

Thanks

Do you connect using a wired or wireless connection?

The wireless link has an IP of 192.168.1.153

If you run:

gksudo gedit /etc/resolv.conf

add these 2 lines:

nameserver 8.8.8.8
nameserver 8.8.4.4

Save the new file. calose gedit and ALL browsers then retry the web. Does it work?
