1. Filenames as Installer.exe (suffix exe) are windows executables.
They will only run on MS-Windows nad not on other operating systems like
Linux, Mac OS or IBM OS/2
2. Mostoften removable medias such as cd-rom drives and others are mounted
with the option noexec. Which means that applications can't be started
directly from those medias. This is because of security reasons to avvoid
   malware to be executed.
I said mostoften because it depends on your /etc/fstab file if the option
noexec is used or not. If noexec is set there should be a line like this in
   your /etc/fstab file:
   /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user,noauto,noexec 0 0
The point is the part 'user, noauto, noexec' this is where the noexec option
   is set.

So for installing WoW you need the Linux version of WoW not the windows one.
I'm not familiar with the WoW install cd's so I don't know if there also is a
Linux installer on this cd. I would suggest to search for a file named
INSTALL, README or others which have an installation instruction.

thomas

Hi, the installer.exe file is the installer for Windows, so you can not
run it under linux. If you want to install WoW (or some many other
windows programs) you can do it with WINE (Wine is no an emulator). Here
is a how-to for installing and playing World of Warcraft using Wine

What if we delete /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom0 udf,iso9660 user, noauto, noexec 0 0 from the file? Will that help with that problem or do nothing?

I'm having the same problem and it's getting very very annoying!

Can you help with this problem?
