computer timeout after 5 minutes of idle time

Go to your Session Indicator > System Settings > Power Management (Under Hardware Tab) > edit the inactivity times/settings.

How do I find "session settings"?

Sorry to be blockheaded but I'm new to Ubunto. How can I get to "session settings"?
