I am using 64 bit 11.04 the gnome screen saver does not work.

I have problems with the screen saver, the screen goes blank after the time set, but then returns to original desktop.??
To over come this I have installed the Xscreen saver & have to keep setting it up on every startup.
Gets to be a bit of a pain .
