Compiz help.

Hey again,

Finally i found out how to use Compiz! But theres just one problem-o. I always see these videos of people with there Compiz making all the desktops into a cube. I have enabled the desktop cube and desktop rotate settings in the Compiz settings. When i do the key board shortcut for the cube, it does not work.
So then i tried the "Desktop Plane" effect.... when i tried to use it, i only had 2 desktops, not 4. Thats why i think the cube is not working(because i only have two desktops). Can anyone tell me how to get all four?
