conditions at open office

Asked by mjunior

Hello,
I'm starting using gnumeric and openoffice calc, so I'm a little confuse since all my previous experience was based on excell. My current doubts are:
How to set a conditional format to a cell? Like: change font if <0 for instance
How to set a list of options combo like to be used as condition in some formula? Like: sum cells from x to y where condition="combo_yes"

Thanks in advance for any help...

I cannot help with gnumeric, just a reply about openoffice.org's Calc (I am curerently using OOo 2.0.2).

Conditional format

1. Select "Format Cells" on the menu
2. Go to the tab "Numbers", select "User Defined" in Category.
3. There is a field available to enter a format code.
The possible format codes are described in the openoffice help system (search for "Number Format Codes")

Condition in some formula:

There is a SUMIF-functions that works the same way than in Microsoft Excel.

In general, most functions available in Excel are also available in Calc. But to now, I didn't have any problems to exchange spreadsheets between Excel and Calc.

Can you help with this problem?
