Boot issue

Asked by rielgenius1688

I installed Ubuntu as the lone OS on my Dell Inspiron E1405 laptop. Now when I try to boot, I get a message that the NTLDR is missing. When I use the live cd I am able to boot from the hard drive just fine, but I would like to be able to boot without it. What should I do?

reinstall grub to the mbr of the hard drive, the windows bootloader is still installed to the mbr of the HD. You can do this using the supergrub live disk or by running grub from the live cd.
