Can I download & install Ubuntu 11.04 onto my pc

Whenever I have Ubuntu 11.04 installed on my pc, I always end up with the same trouble of losing everything then when I restart my machine I've got no boot files to reboot my pc(or should I say I've lost the grub files, ergo stopping me from rebooting, can I reinstall the grub files somehow?

Boot to live CD and you can reinstate Grub2 easily

Yes .thank you ,once again I have reinstalled Ubuntu 11.04- by the way, I was wondering if the following programs could be the

cause of these troubles, they are all out of the 'software centre- "bible" or "xiphos" (or maybe from having both installed), and the

"Hearts" program out of the Games category? they may have nothing to do with it, but whenever I've installed them Ialways end

up in trouble. Yours GJD.

Thank you, reinstalling Ubuntu11.04 seems to have fixed the problems I was having-GJD
