Are my hard disks being spun down?

Before I updated Ubuntu to 12.04 there was an option under power settings to spin down my hard disks but after the update I no longer see the option. It seems like my hard disks are being run down as my computer seems like it is running slower. Also, I just switched to Ubuntu from Windows so this is all new to me. Thanks in advance for any help!

Unfortunately there is a bug which is fix committed for Precise.
