Clip Freeze/Trash in Monitor Playback Window

Asked by m_e_perry

kdenlive 0.7.2.1 in Interpid:

Viewing MTS files (1080i, via Canon HF100), I get blocks 'n trash and the video freezes (audio continues) if I pause or shuttle the playback.

Likely culprits?

gstreamer? Try going up to the top taskbar and click on

Applications - Accessories

into the terminal console type

gstreamer-properties

in the gui click on the "Video" tab and change the top item "Output" from "Auto" to "... (no Xv)"

This shoudl help with playing movies too.

Good luck and regards from

Thanks Tom. Unfortunately this had no effect on the issues I'm seeing -
once I interrupt the clip playback in any was - the video freezes and/or
shows block corruption while the audio continues playing. No such issues
playing back movies outside of Kdenlive or DVDs via Totem.
