What does "Kick Peer" mean?

In the Peers tab, what does "Kick Peer" mean when I right click on a peer?

It disconnects the particular Peer's connection with you. People do this manually sometimes to get rid of potential leechers.

Some clients auto-kick and ban too (Azureus does that I guess), in order to give you better speeds.
