Any reason why libvirt-guests is not being offered?

I have been using libvirt-guests in CentOS and it is a rather nice script to save/restore normal vm clients using virsh managedsave. For clients using pci passthrough it does shut them down properly as expected (since they cannot be suspended using managedsave). Short of writing my own code/post libvirt-guests, which is what I am doing, I do not see how to do the above in Ubuntu.
Any reason why this package is not available for Ubuntu?
