loggin on to my administor account it will not log on it goes to a different screen.....

when i log on to my administor account it will not log on it goes to a diffrent screen.....wont go anywhere and I dont want to lose anything on that account, what can i do?

Your backups will ensure no data loss, so you have no worries there.

If you select a different session, is it ok. Unity2D is a good test

When you click your username, click the ubuntu logo and select Ubuntu2D then log in
