\usr\bin\x11\x11\x11 etc.

Binary package hint: linux-backports-modules-jaunty

I have a redundancy in folder structure that has appeared more recently, which seems like an installation failure?
\usr\bin\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11\X11 etc.
Each level contains the identical set of files. Not sure of how to clean this up, having deleted the lower levels, it has returned?

If I try to delete the multiple levels in Windows, I get an error "The filename, directory name, or volume label syntax is incorrect."
If I am in LinuxLand, I can delete the multiple levels, but it seems to be as if I am deleting "alias pointers." Very strange.

/usr/bin/X11 is a symlink to /usr/bin and is there for compatibility reasons. This is why it appears to be of infinite depth and each level contains the same set of files.

Don't try to delete it as you will most likely break your system enough to require a reinstall.
