Ubuntu 11.10 Freezes Randomly

Ubuntu 11.10 Randomly Freezes No Matter What im Doing.The Mouse Is The Only Thing That Moves,However Left Clicks Has No Effect Nor Does Right Clicking, Its As If Ubuntu Is A Picture.Ubuntu 10.04 Worked Fine With Me It All started With Ubuntu 11.10

ok 2 things...
1.could this be happening because my navida graphic card is not activated.
2. which memtest there are two of them

You want the standard memtest86+

The other one is for use over a serial link for headless systems. You should leave the test running overnight, however if the problem happens quickly and often then it might find it quickly as well. I agree it sounds like a hardware problem - most likely memory. How old is the computer?
