LXDE compared to other Desktops?

Asked by sam-c

Lately I have been Trying Out LXDE on Ubuntu and Other Distro's.
My Question is : is there a difference between LXDE and Gnome or KDM in Plugins and Performance like Flash Programs, Java etc...
Or What are the differences?

The difference is only in what you see, not in the program that are the same. For example: LXDE uses another file manager, thunar. LXDE is very similar to GNOME2. LXDE is usually used on older pc because it's a very light desktop environment.

Yeah it's good for every PC you want. It's just indicated for pc with small resources but you can use it everywhere because it's a very good DE.

Can you help with this problem?
