11.04, Mercury and Joomla

Hello

I have a Joomla web side and I would send Emails from this web side. But unfortunately it doesn't work.

A man in the Joomla forum told me, that I should use Mercury. Mercury should come together with XAMPP, but the man in the Joomla forum told me, that Linux is not supported in the XAMPP environment.

Do you now a web side where I can get Mercury and how I can configure it? Or can I use another product?
