Desktop/Start Bar disappears got hear through help?

Was changing settings of desktop through compiz and now desktop is blank i cant find wall bar or top start bar etc can only right click. to get hear i made a file and went online help to get online. How do i get my stuff back? i think if i can get to settings through a luanch pad or sumthing i may be alrite.
